Description
Position Objective: The Order Entry supports WS Packaging Group, Inc. goals, values and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality service to internal customers, commitment and accountability. Role and Responsibilities:
  • Validate incoming art, orders and other customer requests; discuss necessary changes with customer.
  • Provide accurate and complete information to internal customers.
  • Ensure that customer fully understands what is required of them to meet their expectations.
  • Confirm charges, pricing, and miscellaneous charges.  Add necessary price breaks to existing quotes.
  • Handle press proofs, process complaints/credits, research and assist in clean-up of open payment issues.
  • Bring forth ideas to expedite orders, resolve issues, cost absorption confirmations, etc.
  • Schedule work orders on appropriate equipment based on production specifications.
  • Schedule both resources and equipment to ensure a level load on the production floor.
  • Enter work orders for production based on the information provided by Customer Care via sales orders.
  • Maintain production master files. This includes the creation of new files and the retention of existing production master files.
  • Communicates daily schedule requirements to Plants.
  • Reviews all new parts specifications for accuracy with respect to equipment for production.
  • Manage and analyze Kanban queue to facilitate orders for replenishment.
  • Analyze Kanban signals to determine velocity, signal failures and PFEP modifications.
  • Anticipates, research and report on future changes to ensure such knowledge is factored into the planning of the company's own strategy, resources and procedures.
  • Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations relating to replenishment activities.
  • Manage stock control activities influenced by Key account stocking requirements.
  • Prepare and submit relevant administrative reports in a timely and accurate manner, for example: shipping reports; KRB minutes, actions and agenda; Kanban user instructions and procedures.
  • Proactively collaborate with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan to meet, and to supply demand.
  • Investigate, plan and implement strategically effective and relevant methods, to optimally meet the needs of production and our customers. Examples include expedites and orders which follow an abnormal process flow.
  • Plan and manage strategies for inventory reductions.
  • Create and maintain customized training literature and material for internal and external use.
  • Have a basic understanding of price, delivery, contract terms, and inventory.

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma with a minimum of Two years in Customer Service required.  Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in the Label or Printing industry preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook.  Working knowledge with Adobe and typesetting. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills, and be able to effectively communicate with others.
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Actively looking for ways to help people.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
