Role and Responsibilities:
Note:  The following duties are normal for this position.  It is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.
  • Understand and support the Corporate Mission Statement, Values, Vision, and Operating Principles.
  • Adhere to mandatory daily stretch and safety requirements.
  • Meet attendance standards.
  • Meets productivity expectations and standards
  • Accepts responsibility for own actions
  • Acts as a resource for problem solving and decision making
  • Drive standard work adherence through rounds and audits
  • Guide and direct work of press operators
  • Kitting (setting up work stations with necessary materials and equipment)
  • Cover breaks or direct breaks
  • Collaborate with Press Supervisors on scheduling
  • Co-lead Kiazens/meetings with the supervisor
  • Act as a resource for Customer Service
  • Vision functionality troubleshooting resource
  • Directing press operators, evaluating changes in priorities
  • Perform first article sign offs, utilizing all the proper PTMs
  • Housekeeping
  • Attend all toolbox meetings, providing feedback as appropriate

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Must have knowledge of Flexo printing
  • Press operator experience
  • Must be comfortable providing direction and guidance to fellow employees
  • Quality conscious and customer focused
  • Self-directed individual with outstanding decision making and problem solving skills
  • Above average comprehension, verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills working within a team environment

Physical Demands:
Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting.  May, on a continuous basis, stand for a long period of time and stoop, bend, and kneel frequently. May handle, feel and reach for items in and around press area and continuously grasp product from a conveyor for up to 12 hours (4 hours at a time due to breaks). Moderate to frequent walking and lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs (20 lbs repetitively) is required.  Vision: close vision, distance and color vision to distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception as well as the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud.  Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
