POSITION TITLE: Track Operator
SECOND SHIFT HOURS: Monday - Thursday 2:45 pm - 11:00 pm, Friday 12:5 pm - 7:15 pm; additional weekend and overtime hours as needed
To correctly make up pallets of cases of product that meet all customer and/or company specifications as to case counts, correct cases or acceptable substitutes, correct labels, correct size and counts on skids, etc.  To keep raw material usage records accurately and assure that correct information is turned in to the Accounting Department.
  • Make up load tags for all skids.
  • Verify that all labels are correct.
  • Keep track of daily counts for each gluer and record each in the production book and forward specific information to the Accounting department.             
  • To maintain the track and case sealer area in a clean and safe manner.
  • To label and/or mark all cases and skids correctly.
  • To inform the Supervisor of any needs of the palletizing area, i.e. tape, skids, supplies, etc.
  • To correctly fill out the completed job tickets and file in the “finished jobs” file.
  • To draw RSC’s from the staging are or warehouse if Shipping & Receiving personnel are busy.
  • To assist the packers in getting corrugated cases to the finishing equipment.
  • When the workload allows, assist Shipping & Receiving personnel in stretch wrapping skids.
  • Complete others duties as assigned.
  • Check all cases for correct contents, for identification and palletizing.
  • Verify that all labels and skid markings are correct.
  • Ensure that customer and/or company specifications as to skid size and quantity are met.
  • All loads must be stacked neatly and have tie sheets inserted when necessary.
  • Ensure that all cases are correctly taped.
  • Follow all WS Packaging Group, Inc.’s rules for the Food Safe Product Program.
  • Operates all equipment with all guards and safety features.
  • Wears Company provided safety equipment as required by company policy, supplier instructions and/or OSHA regulations.
  • Stores all supplies, chemicals and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.


Lifting of cases of folding cartons from a track at waist height and restacking on skids from floor level to a height of approximately 60'.  Average weight of cases would be 40 pounds, with a range of 5-60 pounds.  Twisting and bending is required while stacking corrugated cases on skids and while moving skids with hand trucks.  Skid weights will range from 100-2000 pounds with an average of approximately 1250 pounds.  Working in an environment with paper dust suspended in the air.  Should have the ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for an 8-10 hour shift.
Minimum of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
